What is IV therapy?
Intravenous (IV) vitamin and mineral therapy is a safe and powerful healing tool. Taking vitamins and minerals orally is very helpful, however the difference they make can be slow and gradual. It also relies on an often compromised digestive system to be able to absorb and metabolize the nutrients. IV vitamin and mineral therapy allows us to speed up the healing process. IV therapy consists of a wide variety of vitamins, minerals, and nutrients specifically selected for a patient’s condition and are administered directly into the vein. IV therapy involves infusing vitamins and minerals directly into the bloodstream. Administering the nutrients intravenously can achieve serum concentrations higher than what can be obtained through oral supplementation.
IV Therapy Sessions:
$110 + the cost of your IV Solution (approx. 30-60 mins)
We also offer at-home visits, for an additional cost.
What to expect at your first visit:
Your first visit will involve an in-depth look at your health history, medications, supplements, and allergies as well as a physical exam. Some blood work may be necessary to determine how to tailor the treatment for you specifically. You will then be able to receive your first IV. This first intake + IV will usually take 1.5 hours, and subsequent IV treatments will usually be 20-60 minutes. During the treatment you can read, relax, rest, or meditate in our relaxing IV Therapy suite. We strive to make it a comfortable, positive and relaxing experience for you!
How often is it given and who can benefit from IV Therapy?
The frequency of treatment depends of the individual and the condition being treated. Typically they are done weekly for five to six weeks. Frequency is typically tapered down as symptom improvement is noted, and monthly IVs can be done for maintenance.
Patients may book in for IV Therapy for a “boost” before and after travel, before and after a stressful event, or pre-winter immune protection as well as for increased energy.
IV Therapy is an adjunct therapy for cancer care. Evidence exists showing that IV Therapies can be used safely and effectively for a variety of disorders including: Cancer and post cancer healing, General Aging Support, Pain Disorders (Fibromyalgia, Arthritis, etc.), Chronic Fatigue, Heart Disease, Macular Degeneration, Wound Healing and more.
